We explain below (& see the video sample at the end)
One hour is the target, although it is common for ceremonies to start later than expected. Since the musicians play for the guests as they arrive and continue performing even if the ceremony does not begin at the intended time, sometimes a total of 1.5 hours is needed.
- 20-30 minutes before the ceremony, the musicians play as the guests arrive.
Once the ceremony starts, the musicians play in these sections:
- Music for the bridal court
- Music for the bride
- Music for the interlude (music is played at certain moments of the ceremony while there is no talking due to a unity candle ceremony, sand ceremony, or similar)
- Music for the end of the ceremony
When the ceremony is over, the cocktail hour starts, which also benefits from live music
